North Vancouver is located on Vancouver's North Shore on the south-facing slopes of the Coast Mountains, on the north side of Burrard Inlet, in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The area is bordered by Howe Sound to the west, Indian Arm fjord to the east, and the cities of Vancouver and Burnaby immediately to the south. Seen from downtown Vancouver, the North Shore looks idyllic.

The City of North Vancouver's housing stock is 52 per cent rental apartments and duplexes, and Lonsdale Avenue is both the region's historic downtown as well as the natural and most welcoming place for new highrise development that is transforming parking lots and low-rise buildings into mixed-use towers offering residential and commercial space.

Easy access to and from Vancouver and downtown Vancouver is provided by the Second Narrows Bridge, the Lion's Gate Bridge and public transit options including the 12 minute Seabus ride between North Vancouver and downtown Vancouver.
